The Black American Heritage Flag was chosen to be unfurled at this event which is held on the third Saturday in July. The Negro Election Day exhibit is currently at Hamilton Hall. The exhibit details the history of Negro Election Day, when enslaved and free Black people got together to elect a king and queen. Because of The Black American Flag's history and mission, it is now included in the annual celebration and exhibit.
